DR↺P

 Chuan Tsai, Yen-Chen Lee

Upon opening your eyes, you find yourself in a room.  There are various objects around you, yet interacting with them only fills you with an overwhelming sense of pressure...
Even if you escape the room, the pain follows—you are trapped in a cycle, always returning to the place that burdens you.  You will repeat this process, over and over, like an endless loop.
Until, at last...

Site Plan

In the exhibition space, a bed is provided where the audience lies down to enter the game. During the experience, they are free to walk around a 4×4-meter area and interact with objects in the game. In the final stage, the game guides the audience back to the bed to lie down again.

Circulation

The symbol "↺" in the title DR↺P represents cycles and reincarnation, subtly hinting at the experience mechanism of the piece. In our work, circulation is a crucial concept. Not only do participants repeatedly walk through the room and corridor during the experience, but in the real world, they also navigate the space in a cyclical manner.

Death

In our Gen-Z, there is a culture of "sang"—a sense of defeat and hopelessness. Phrases like "I'm so stressed, I just want to die" or "I wish I could log out of life tomorrow" frequently appear in our conversations. These expressions inspired us to create this piece. Through an immersive interactive experience, we hope to offer a new perspective to teenagers who see death as an escape, encouraging them to rethink the meaning and value of life. At the same time, we aim to resonate with the audience and raise awareness of mental health issues among young people.
